In the process of working together over the years we have occasionally recorded tracks that aren’t on on the albums but that are worth listening to for one reason or another. On this page, you’ll find a number of free downloadable tracks that cover different times and episodes in the
story. Keep revisiting - we’ll certainly add more as time goes on.

For a time in the late 70s, when Fairlie had drifted out of touch, Chris, Mary and Bernie joined up with John Carey - an old mate from College. John had always previously played his own stuff as a solo artist and so this short-lived Whinchat incarnation was good fun for all of us. We recorded all of these songs in a day at a Leicester recording studio in the Belgrave area. Good times - and some really good songs. John - if you’re out there - get in touch.
